Helping young people build confidence, clarity and direction
Your teenager is bright, capable and kind, and still has no real idea what comes next. That is rarely a lack of intelligence or ambition. It is a lack of clarity. Most young people have never been given the chance to slow down, work out who they are, and explore a future that actually means something to them rather than one that meets someone else’s expectations. Sessions are offered both individually and in groups.

What coaching looks like
Every session is designed to help young people understand themselves better and move forward with confidence. Together we:
- Discover their strengths, values and natural talents
- Explore career and education possibilities without pressure or judgment
- Turn uncertainty into clear, achievable goals
- Build confidence through action and small wins
- Create a meaningful vision for the future, including vision boards and other hands-on coaching activities
- Learn practical tools for decision making, resilience and navigating change
- Focus on what they can control and build a mindset that supports growth
My role is not to tell young people what they should become. It is to help them discover who they are becoming.
Why coaching, and not advice
As an ICF Associate Certified Coach with specialized training in Organizational Coaching and Career Coaching through UBCI have learned that lasting confidence does not come from an adult telling a young person what to do. It comes from helping them find the answers themselves. When young people understand their strengths, values and options, they stop comparing themselves to everyone else and start making decisions they actually believe in.
Success looks different for everyone
One of the biggest pressures young people face is the belief that there is only one right path. For one student success is university. For another it is the trades, entrepreneurship, a gap year, or something else entirely. The goal is never to fit someone else’s definition of success, but to build a future that fits who they are.
A note for parents
As a mother of two daughters, I have watched how quickly childhood turns into adulthood, and how much we ask of young people who are still working out who they are. That is what led me to become a professional coach. If you would like to read more about why I believe this matters, I wrote about it here: Why so many teens feel lost, and what actually helps.
