Meet Haleh Magnus
Magnus Coaching was born from one belief, proven over a lifetime: you can do whatever you put your heart to — nothing is impossible.
At eighteen, Haleh was, in her own words, a lost child. Life had tested her early — she lost her mother at ten and spent eight years of her childhood living through war. What she needed most was a role model, and she found one at a Tony Robbins event, where she learned something that would shape the rest of her life: how to visualize her goals.

She pictured the future she wanted, went back and rewrote her school exams, and chose accounting over the path everyone expected. Visualization became her second nature. That skill carried her far: from a single bookkeeping workshop she built her first practice — the start of more than twenty years as an entrepreneur. Several businesses later, she founded Magnus Law, which she leads today. Through every chapter, she kept one habit: a vision board, and eyes fixed firmly ahead.

Why Magnus Coaching Exists
For years, Haleh has been deeply involved in her community and in the lives of young people. What she saw troubled her: kids who were lost, with little guidance, many struggling with depression and stress — often given medication, but rarely given purpose.
As a volunteer she noticed most students reach Grade 12 never knowing what they truly want — and too many drop out in their first year of university because of it.
When her daughter learned to drive and stepped into her own independence, Haleh took her turn: she went to UBC and trained as a certified career and organizational coach, so she could teach others what she had to learn alone at eighteen — how to take control of your own life.
Haleh doesn’t believe in fixing the past. Nothing that happened to you is a verdict; it’s material to learn from, and fuel to move forward. “If I have helped one person decide their career, or find their purpose — I’ve done my job.”
Making History in Tehran
In April 2017, Haleh returned to her city of birth to take part in the first international marathon ever held in Iran — as one of the first women permitted to run. When organizers announced that women would be limited to 10 km, run separately from the men, Haleh and a small group of her “marathon sisters” refused to let the moment shrink: ten of them quietly ran their own 32 km in a women-only park.
Told at the gate that her running outfit didn’t meet the dress code, Haleh wrapped her Canadian flag around her legs like a skirt — and ran the entire 32 kilometres with it.

At the official finish line, her daughter Lyla ran the final stretch to meet her, and they crossed together holding the Canadian flag. “When I saw Lyla running to me, it was such a rewarding moment of life.”
“I truly believe running is the best sport for the soul and body, and a unique event like this can be inspiring to lots of people around the world,” Haleh told Al Jazeera — in a year she ran fifteen races, including an ultra-marathon. It’s the same belief that powers her coaching: see the goal clearly, and nothing is impossible.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in the free Discovery Session?
It’s a relaxed 30-minute conversation — no pressure, no commitment. We talk about where you are, what you want to change, and whether we’re the right fit to work together. You’ll leave with at least one useful insight either way.
How much does coaching cost?
After your free Discovery Session, you can choose the Growth Package (3 × 60-minute sessions, $300 CAD) or the Transformation Package (6 × 60-minute sessions, $550 CAD). Youth and group sessions are offered at reduced rates, and organizational coaching is quoted per workplace.
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No. Coaching is a forward-looking partnership focused on your goals, direction, and action — we don’t dig through the past, we learn from it and move on. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or medical care, and it isn’t a substitute for those where they’re needed.
Who is coaching for?
Students choosing a direction, professionals ready for a change, entrepreneurs building a business, teams that want to grow together, and young people looking for purpose and confidence. If you can picture a better future — or want help picturing one — coaching is for you.
